Pump House Point at Lake St Clair, Tasmania
In April 2017 I paid a visit to Tasmania to capture the essence of Autumn. One of my travel days took me to Lake St Clair in Tasmania where on this lakes sits an extraordinary building. I decided to enter the Landscape category at this years Queensland Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP).
It was a pleasure to hear and see the judging of the image down at Mt Gravatt TAFE campus over the weekend of 24/25 March. I received a solid 83 (silver award) from one judge who absolutely got the composition of this image and two scores of 80 of other judges which lead to the overall award points for the image of 80 - Silver award.
This image is not a single capture. It is a composite of multiple images to ensure clarity from front to back. The image components lead you eye around the image starting at the left corner. I love the sunlight through the trees and the reflection of the pump house in the water leading you back into the foreground.
I hope you have enjoyed viewing this image.
